CHICKENS


 CHICKENS

The chickens have come home to roost

In Forest Hills High School

Not sure they know why

And neither do I

Bird-brains?

Nature works in mysterious ways

    I always wondered: with billions of domesticated chickens around, why are there no fugitives who found wild chicken populations?

    Yes, I do wonder about such things...

    Perhaps it is the same reason why escaping humans never found cave-dwelling, stone age tribes. It is not easy to entirely abandon a comfortable golden cage... Unti, in the end, they strangle you...
